The guy in all of the ISIS videos has finally been identified by the US government as Mohammed Emwazi, a Kuwaiti-born Londoner. Emwazi is believed to have traveled to Syria in 2012 and later to have joined ISIS there. Although they believe that it is him, they still are a little unsure of their findings. British officials declined to confirm his identity. The British Officials even got his friends to try to declare if it was him and still couldn't declare if it was 100%.
This article relates to what we are studying in class because a lot of it is media based. We aren't entirely sure if we have the identity of the guy behind the mask but you can believe that his face flying around the internet will help the British Officials jump to a conclusion of whether he is or isn't. Also, if it is him, they don't know for any reason why he would have joined in the first place.
I believe that it is definitely a good idea to take advantage of this information and try to seek to find him and do some investigation on how and why he would join. Its better to be wrong an do figure out that we're wrong than to be right and never find out if we're right.

President Barack Obama: 'YOLO man'
http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/12/politics/obama-selfies-video-buzzfeed/index.html
President Barack Obama has been promoting his signature health care law many different ways. Just recently, BuzzFeed Motion Pictures posted a video of him doing "things everybody does but doesn't talk about." Included in this video, he talks about his healthcare being available in February but mispronounces February over and over again. This is not the first time he has advertised his healthcare in a public video though. Last year, the President appeared on "Between Two Ferns" with Zach Galifinakis, a move largely credited with boosting signups.
This article relates to our class discussions because we did a small in-class project on past presidential advertising and how it has evolved. In today's society, our president advertises putting little snippets of his "healthcare law" in third-party video entertainment companies. This just shows how social presidency has become throughout the years and how the world is somewhat becoming one big social-media website.
I believe that United States presidency needs to be taken more seriously. You would think that the president has more important things to other than filming videos of himself with his tongue out and drawing pictures of his spouse. He should be spending more of his time focusing on how to govern a country rather than putting off a bad image to the public of how being a president SHOULDN'T be.

Alabama judge strikes down ban on gay marriage
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/23/us/alabama-gay-marriage/index.html
A lesbian couple, Cari Searcy and Kimberly McKeand were married legally in California and have been together for 15 years. They attempted to adopt Kimberly's 9 year old son but was denied because the state of Alabama did not recognize their marriage. The code for Alabama gives a person a right to adopt a spouse's child but because Alabama doesn't recognize their marriage, they could not adopt.
This article relates to what we are doing in class because we are talking about political culture and how people have their own political ideologies. Some may view that same-sex marriage is perfectly harmless while some may argue that it is unnatural. This can also relate upon political parties and how liberal lean more towards the allowance of same-sex marriage and conservatives fall towards the banning of same-sex marriage.
I do not believe in same sex marriage, maybe because I am a strong Christian. Although, there is a separation between church and state, I follow the Bible and it sates that it is a sin for a man to lay with thy other man. Also, I believe that it sets a bad image for kids growing up and learning these things. I'm not saying that gay marriage is bad, but kids should not be raised by parents who encourage gay marriage.
